With 30 years of experience in automation technology, ELAU GmbH is one of the most experienced players in the industry. In 1994 ELAU focused its resources exclusively on the automation of machines for the consumer packaged goods industries. With the right technology, skills and always supporting open architectures, ELAU has become the world’s largest and fastest growing automation supplier for packaging machinery – and beyond.

With the introduction of its PacDrive™ automation system with integrated motion/logic control in 1998, ELAU set the world automation standard for machines in the consumer packaged goods industries. Today, PacDrive™ automation systems control more than 40,000 machines worldwide – with thousands of new installations every year. Thanks to ELAU’s global application support, 24/7 service and logistical networks, machines with PacDrive™ can be readily commissioned and maintained anywhere in the world.

ORBIT CLUTCH BRAKES TYPE SRA and ROTASTEP

largerota2.jpg (5087 bytes)

The Precision Step Systems range encompasses vacuum-operated clutch/brake (type SRA), air-operated clutch/brakes (type RotaStep), fast linear actuators (type FLA) and associated electronic controls (type SRB), sensors and accessories to complete systems for positioning applications.

Providing start/stop cycles at up to 3600/min (60/sec) with consistently precise timing, these units achieve position tolerances of +/- 0.1mm at feed rates of 1m/sec. This consistent performance is maintained throughout the unit's lifetime negating need to reset.

The system provides flexibility via simple control electronics requiring no programming expertise and the actuators have predictable friction material lifetime enabling scheduled maintenance.

ORBIT LINEAR ACTUATORS TYPE FLA

Fast linear actuators type FLA are ideal for such applications as punching, date-stamping, folding, stamping and sorting where rapid linear movement is required.

The actuator is supplied with strokes of 0.16 in. or 0.32 in. The interaction between the FLA actuator and the SRB electronic controls ensures a reaction time of 7 and 8 ms, respectively, and this will allow up to 3000 operations/min. with a constant repeat accuracy of ± 0.5 ms.

BALDOR

bldr_int_products_BSM.jpg (13330 bytes)

Baldor has shipped thousands and thousands of AC and DC servo motors, drives, and controls to many diverse applications throughout the world. It all began in 1952 when Baldor shipped its first reliable adjustable speed control, and in 1983 Baldor began shipping easy to use servo controls and that tradition continues today.

Baldor's philosophy is to make control set up very fast, and easy, and quick to implement. This is accomplished by either a simple keypad, or through set-up wizards and your PC.

Baldor products help increase productivity, improve quality, work hard – and provide solutions for your application needs.

DANFOSS

FC300.jpg (7424 bytes)

1968 was the year Danfoss put VLT® 5 on the market.
Some drives from the first series still control motor speed in their applications, proving VLT® reliability.

Customer driven development has ever since assured the reliability, innovation and flexibility that make VLT® the strongest brand in the global drives market and made Danfoss Drives a leading provider of frequency converters globally.

The 40th anniversary year, 2008, illustrates the progress, as the product range is completed to cover the entire low voltage market with series from 0.18 kW to 1.2 MW.

MAX LINEAR

Max_linear.jpg (32400 bytes)

Highlighted by a high mechanical load capacity and extremely high repetitive accuracy, these German manufactured linear components are a simple and economic solution to your linear motion needs and are fully compatible with Orbit Motion Technologies' line of servo control products.  These components are able to reach high mechanical demands while maintaining quality and convenience.  High accuracy is achieved through new-toothed ATL belts equipped with a special insert or a ball screw drive and solid bearing of the supporting surface allows no distortion to occur.  Other features include hardened guides precisely arranged so that no compression takes place, and an extremely solid middle portion of the saddle to avoid lateral bending of the saddle legs.  There are also fastening grooves for aluminum profile systems and length adjustment of the saddle is possible via belt fittings.
